Be A Player Coach

In which role can you be most effective? Michael Jordan might be everyone's favorite athlete. What did he do to be more influential than anyone else? He wasn't cocky or arrogant. He didn't go off the handle about how he single handedly won games. I believe the reason he was so influential as a player is because he was also a coach. Within your organization and your personal life you have to be "that guy". Be that leader and also that person that is willing to get down and dirty with your team.

Leading people when they know that the same standards that you expect from them will adhere to yourself. So what does being a leader have to do with time management? Well, by being influential and being a leader then your optimize your time and be more efficent. The cool thing about being a leader is you don't need a title to lead. What's a leader? A leader is defined by someone who has the ability to gain willing cooperation of others to accomplish a common goal. Leadership is all about the "willing" part. John Maxwell says, people have to know you care before they care what you know.
